About Coach

I spent 20 years dispensing medications to people that, in many cases, have not put their own health and wellness first. It can be frustrating to be on this side of what I call "sick care". I don't want to see you in my pharmacy. I want to see you at the gym. I believe that our current healthcare system is broken. If we don't redefine what healthcare looks like and find a way to keep people WELL rather than just treating people who are SICK we will never see a change. I used to simply be frustrated by this problem -- now I see a very elegant solution through CrossFit. I want the story of my life to be that I help people eliminate medications from their lives rather than always just dispensing more and more to them.

Turning Point

In 2021, I took the leap and left my career in Pharmacy to become a health coach for Wild Health. I want to spend the back half of my career in preventative medicine. This change is also allowing me to bring knowledge and superior care to the athletes at the gym. I want my athletes to have the best hour of their day with us at Torsion, but I also want to equip them with the knowledge to put their #healthfirst in the other 23 hours of the day.

Motivation & Passion

I get to help people love and accept themselves no matter where they are on their journey. I get to teach people to move well, so they can keep doing the things they love outside of the gym even as they enter retirement and beyond. I get to hear about their kids, their grandkids, their friends, and their jobs. I get to hug them on the happiest of days and hug them on their worst days. Being a Coach means leading by example. I take my own health very seriously. I will never ask my athletes to do something I haven't committed to myself. I'm going to talk to you about more than just your form on a squat--I'm going to ask you about your sleep, your nutrition, your stress, and your relationships with others because to be a great Coach and help you #buildyourbestlife, I think all of those ingredients are necessary!
